Dorothy Erlanger selected as a finalist for the "Virginia Global Business Ambassador Award"
November 9, 2005- Dorothy Erlanger, founder and president of erlanger inc. of Richmond, VA was selected as a finalist for the Virginia Global Business Ambassador Award in the category of international services. Among the other finalists for the award were Bank of America, Captial One, Genworth Financial and Overnite. The finalists were selected by a Blue Ribbon Committee commissioned by the World Affairs Council of Greater Richmond and headed by L. Douglas Wilder, Mayor of Richmond and S. Buford Scott, Chairman of Scott and Stringfellow. This award recognizes firms which, in their international operations, best manifest core American business values, including freedom to develop and achieve, creativity in concept and design, and innovation in process and management. Dorothy Erlanger invited to speak for the Southeastern Virginia Chapter of ASTD
October 11, 2005 - Dorothy Erlanger presented her program titled " Promoting a Knowledge Management System in Your Organization" for the SEVA Chapter of ASTD. Dorothy was invited to speak to the chapter members as part of a monthly series of programs geared towards the competencies being taught in the ASTD Training Certificate Program. Dorothy's presentation addressed the challenge of capturing and transferring experiences of value, whether across the hall or across the globe. David Seletyn, VP of Professional Development for SEVA ASTD, thanked Dorothy for her program saying, "Your presentation opened my eyes to the fact that Knowledge Management goes beyond a collection of technical data and solutions to encompass a wide field of institutional knowledge."

June 5, 2004 - Dorothy Erlanger, founder and president of erlanger inc. of Richmond, VA was awarded the Gillian Rudd Vanguard Award at the 2004 Annual Meeting of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) which was held in Dallas, TX on June 5, 2004. This award is given each year to the woman business owner who best typifies the dedication and national and international work of Ms. Rudd as a leading advocate for women business owners. Dorothy Erlanger is chosen to speak at 2004 ASTD International Conference & Expo
May 23, 2004 - For the 2nd consecutive year, Dorothy Erlanger was chosen to speak at the 2004 International Conference and Expo held by the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD). Dorothy was one of less than 200 speakers who were chosen from over 1500 submitted proposals. Dorothy's presentation, "Training Challenges in Global Pharmaceutical Marketing" offered attendees practical understanding of how to work through development and implementation of a global marketing personnel development process and the ability to discuss and demonstrate to management the value of this approach to marketing training. Dorothy Erlanger selected to serve on the Virginia District Export Council

May 2003 - Dorothy Erlanger has been selected as a member of the Virginia District Export Council (VDEC). The VDEC is one of the 51 DEC's which are comprised of more than 1500 members nationwide and associated with the Commercial Services, US Department of Commerce. DEC members are appointed by the Secretary of Commerce and serve as a communication link between the business community and the Department of Commerce. As a member of the VDEC, Dorothy will provide key support to the Department of Commerce's export expansion activities within her region.
